Bunny Hop…

…right up to my door. Yep, E.B. (Easter Bunny) dropped by my place again this year. This time, I had a couple of surprises for him, but he had a few for me.

A day or so before Easter, I thought to myself – why should Santa be the only one to get something to eat on his route around the world? – no offense  Santa if you’re reading this. So I made E.B. a special egg so he wouldn’t get hungry. I also left him a note in chalk since I know how to spell this year – he had to be surprised by that.

He wrote me a note as well and left me a basket, but this year he left me a lot of eggs to find and some where bigger than my head. And the day just got better because I got to do another egg hunt with my cousins at Papa Dupree’s house.

Check out the videos below and pardon me being in my underoos, but I was excited.

P.S. Thank you Jesus for dying and rising to save us from our sins.

Year of the Snake

If you are up on your Chinese Zodiac calendar, then you already know that 2013 is the year of the Snake. So what does that mean to me – nothing – it was just my way of saying HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. We should all take time to reflect on the past year and discern between those things we want to carry over into the new year and those that are best left in 2012.

For me, I want to continue my development in school from and education and social perspective. To a lot of people, I’m the same little boy I’ve been for the past 6 years – extremely reserved. For those that really know me, they can tell I have developed by actually participating in PE, talking to the teacher (when she asks me to), and playing with my buddy Greyson, but I know there is still more I can work on – on the list. I still don’t have a lot of patience for anyone who doesn’t see things my way so I hope all of you resolve to be better at seeing things my way – trust me, we will all be happier.

I do resolve to learn how to ride my bike without training wheels this year. I probably would have gotten closer to doing that this past year if my parents ever would have let go of the bike instead of running behind me holding it up so that probably should be on their list too. Come to think of it – maybe my resolutions are actually having people get their act together and make my life better. Done. 2013 is a snap.

Below is a pic of something I didn’t want to bring over into the new year – my tooth. Lost it on New Year’s Eve when I was getting crazy on up in the hizzle – ain’t no party like a 6-year old party because a 6-year old party don’t stop….unless it’s time to go night-night.  That is 3 and counting. For those keeping track – that is $15 the Tooth Fairy has lost to me so far.

I wasn’t just dreaming of a white Christmas…..

….because for the first time in my life, I had a we had a white Christmas. It was totally unexpected and totally welcomed. And it was actually perfect timing because I got to wake up early (5:30am) to make a huge mess opening all my presents with mommy, daddy, and grannie, then played with the gifts, and then got to go outside and play with mommy and daddy in the snow – it really couldn’t have been any better. And with all the excitement, we made sure we all understood the reason for the season.

As special as the day was, there was one downside – Buddy, my elf, went back to the North Pole for the year. I always get a little sad when he goes away, but I think about him a lot over the year. He’s my elf and the best elf ever so see you next year Buddy – can’t wait to see what silly things you do next year.

The following pics are from the Christmas season with Buddy and the family. (Note: one of my favorite pics is of me trying to catch snowflakes with my tongue.)

Buddy update

I probably won’t do this every day, but Buddy was busy last night making himself a silly Lego chair. He is being more creative this year because he knows I get the humor more this year.

BTW I have been a good boy so I have been able to open presents each day and the list includes: a large stuffed dog, Santa pajamas, checkers, and a gingerbread house that mommy and daddy will be cussing when we put it up – but it’s tradition:)

He’s Back!!

Buddy is back, Buddy is back, Buddy is back!!!!

In case you forgot, Buddy is the elf that comes every December to make sure I am being good – for at least the last month of the year – I can hold out for a month before my bad streak comes out…I think.

I love when Buddy comes back – primarily because that means I get to open presents each day of the month because of the advent calendar Santa sends with Buddy provided I act right. I also like to see where he shows up every day. Last year he was pretty tame, but I have a feeling he may be a little more active than last year and maybe even a little mischievous. In any case, I still think Santa has trust issues, but at least Buddy is back!!

I’m registered

Black Friday…Cyber Monday/Week…Wednesday….whatever the day, there are only 28 days until Christmas so I thought I would make it easier on everyone who wants to shower me with gifts. I have registered at Toys-R-Us for toys I would like. You are more than welcome to go off script and buy whatever you think I’ll like, but there are no guarantees so shop elsewhere at your own risk.

And yes, I know Christmas is about more than gifts so rest assured I will also be spreading the love. But keep in mind I’m six so perspective is still skewed.

The link below, you will go to Toy-R-Us wish list. All  you need to do is enter my last name in the “Creator” box and shop until you can’t shop anymore.

WISH LIST FOR YOUR FAVORITE LITTLE BOY!

In case you forgot how adorable I am, see below….

Turkey day at school

We had our Thanksgiving Feast at school the other day. I was very excited about it because daddy was able to come eat with me and we were going to go through the lunch line for the first time. I have always been nervous to go through the line by myself, but this time I was going to be able to show daddy how it was done so I had all the confidence in the world. I even got to pay for daddy’s lunch with my school card – it’s not a black card from Amex just yet, but it gets me by.

The food left a little to be desired, but all in all it was fun and we also got to dress in “clothes” we designed ourselves out of paper bags – although it was Native American garb so I may have been on the wrong end of that deal.

Angry Halloween

Halloween is quickly becoming my favorite holiday – just like mommy. The first couple of years, I didn’t really get into Halloween like I do now. Now, I love decorating the house and yard and carving pumpkins. I also know that I have to say trick or treat loud so I can get some candy from strangers – I’m getting better at that and we had lots of practice this Halloween because we walked all over the neighborhood. This year’s theme for the family was Angry Birds – I was yellow bird, mommy was blue bird, grannie was king pig, and daddy was red bird.
