T-o-T

I’ve always loved dressing up for Halloween and all the candy you get from trick-or-treating, but this year I found out something new I kinda like – and I say that in a shameful sort of way – being the big kid that “scares” the little kids.

This year I dressed up as Godzilla and I scared three kids when I walked by them. One was dressed as Batman – huh, he should have his batwings stripped from his 2-year old self. And that 3-year old “Jedi” has Yoda saying, “chicken you are.”

Anyway, that was the only day I’ve had where I’ve been intimidating so while I’m not going to make it a habit, I will relish it just a tad bit. bwaahhhaahaah

What has 2 claws and ready for Halloween?

This guy! Need I say more?

Where have you been?

I’ve been waiting to post until you came back – only kidding – it’s all my fault. You know it’s not easy being a 7-year old in an instantaneous world that provides and demands everything immediately – I’m usually on the demanding end – I’ve got CEO written all over me.

So to catch you up on a few things….Halloween rocked. I went as Sonic the Hedgehog and mommy, Grannie, and daddy all went as other Sonic characters. They weren’t as “lucky” as I was because they only had hats that looked like the character while I had the whole costume – Sonic, baby! Anyway, I got A LOT of candy from trick-or-treating. Mommy and daddy swear I’m still on my sugar high and are waiting for me to come down.

Moving on….Thanksgiving rocked. We had some good food and had a relaxing day with family. I should have taken a picture of our spread, but evidently, we are all too hungry to stop and pose. I did have my annual Thanksgiving lunch at school. Mommy and daddy came up to school to eat with me. I just love it when they come eat lunch with me. I think I have them conned into eating with me once a month each and Grannie, too. I was pushing for each of them to come eat with me once a week, but I can settle for once a month each.

Now we’re pretty much up to date on everything except for one thing…..BUDDY IS BACK IN TOWN! Yep, my own personal elf is back in town and I love me some Buddy. First, he always changes locations. Sometimes they are silly and sometimes they are normal, but it’s always fun to try and find him in the morning. It really serves as good motivation to get out of bed in the morning. Second, and perhaps the best part, Buddy always brings me 24 little pre-Christmas gifts from Santa and I can open one each day if I act right, e.g., brush my teeth, clean up my toys, read, say my prayers. And yes, there were times over the past couple of years that I did not get to open a present because I wasn’t acting right – bygones.

Below are some pics from the past few weeks. Also, stay posted because I am getting on the #TBT (ThrowBack Thursdays) train so stay tuned for some pics from my past on Thursdays.

Angry Halloween

Halloween is quickly becoming my favorite holiday – just like mommy. The first couple of years, I didn’t really get into Halloween like I do now. Now, I love decorating the house and yard and carving pumpkins. I also know that I have to say trick or treat loud so I can get some candy from strangers – I’m getting better at that and we had lots of practice this Halloween because we walked all over the neighborhood. This year’s theme for the family was Angry Birds – I was yellow bird, mommy was blue bird, grannie was king pig, and daddy was red bird.

My first rave

Music pumping, bass thumping, people dressed up in costumes, and glow sticks waving in the air – that was the scene Friday night at my school’s rave. School officials actually called it a Storybook Ball, but us kids preferred to call it a rave. We were suppose to wear a costume from a book and I wasn’t going to go, but at the last minute I decided to go so daddy had to dig up last year’s Batman costume because my costume this year isn’t from a book. I’m glad I decided to go because I had a blast and got to get my groove on.
I’m the blue and grey Batman in the middle of the pack. You can see me real well about 30 seconds into the video.

Catching up….Happy Halloween

There’s a bunch to cover with Thanksgiving and all, but I’ve been told that I need to address Halloween. Yeah, it was almost a month ago, but it was such a good time that it does deserve some attention. I mean there was costumes, candy, and roaming the streets at night – what’s not to love?

I thought Halloween was going to be a fairly normal ghoulish night with mommy and daddy taking me trick-or-treating and grannie manning the door for other trick-or-treaters. I was shocked when grannie showed up in costume as one of my superhero sidekicks and came with us. It was so cool and sweet to see my grannie dressed up. She really made all of us smile. We didn’t cheat anyone out of candy. We left a bowl outside which was probably gone after the first few heathens came by. Whatever the case was I was busy collecting my own bag of treats.

Batman and Batgirl ready for action!

1 little, 2 little, 3 little Iron Men

I hope I haven’t kept you guys hanging too long on what I was for Halloween this year. I know you’ve probably been on the edge of your seat to find out. Well, before I show you how I looked, let’s recap the past few years.

Halloween 2006 – Red Hot Chili Pepper – Give it away, give it away, give it away now… (BTW I couldn’t find the pic of me so I grabbed a pic off the web of some kid – not nearly as good looking as me, but you get the idea.)

Halloween 2007 – Dumbo – mom said everyone would be wearing something like this – NOT

Halloween 2008 – I had a Spiderman costume, but didn’t want to wear it until this past year when mommy and I were cleaning out the spare bedroom. I think it’s slimming.

Halloween 2009 – Popo – Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do when they come for you.

HALLOWEEN 2010 – IRON MAN!!!!

We went trick or treating with our neighbors. They always have friends over every Halloween. It was pretty cool. I didn’t realize there would be so many Iron Man costumes – at least it wasn’t the Oscars or anything or I would have been embarrassed. BTW I think I looked the best b/c I had big muscles, a better mask, an Iron Man bucket, and the hand light thingy that made cool sounds.

Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto

I almost forgot to tell you I was introduced to STROBE LIGHTS!! And they rock. My folks got one for Halloween and I couldn’t get enough of it. I was getting my groove on and bustin’ out my robot…..did my battery run down???….wind me up….now I’m poppin’. And don’t be fooled just because the video below is just of me – mommy and daddy joined in the fun, too. I didn’t know mommy could pop like that and can she throw down a mean worm or what. When we’re all at home, we turn off the lights and the rave begins…where my glow sticks at?
