Catch up

I have been a little lazy lately about blogging. That’s because I’ve been on Facebook and Twitter to see what all the buzz is about. If any of you are on those, hit me up at “CJ Kol”. That should work for either. I enjoy a little bit of anonymity at my dad’s expense. Anyway, to catch you up on some stuff…..

Mother’s Day – had brunch at Mattito’s with the fam. Pretty good food I must say and from what I could gather, everyone’s orange juice must have been good. I never see mommy drink that much orange juice. She must have needed her vitamin C. Same goes for Grannie and Nannie. I think the vitamin C worked because they all looked pretty happy after dirnking a few glasses.

Dad’s birthday – My dad turned 35 which is really old, but not as old as mommy (that was for you pops – you owe me one). Anyway, he got a very cool gift from mommy – a new TATTOO!! At first I was frustrated with him for drawing on himself and I scolded him for it, but then he explained that it wasn’t coming off and I needed to get over it. Sometimes I need talks like that. He also said it was a form of art and that it showed he really loved me. So with that, it is pretty cool. It’s on his left wrist. Here is the pic……

Spike’s recovery

Well, I am happy to report that Spike went to the doctor and is all better now. It’s amazing how one morning he could be floating on his back and later that afternoon after going to the doctor, he is swimming with the fishes again (this time, that’s a good thing). Just thought you would want to hear the good news. Holler at you later.

Goldfish!

Last week, my daddy picked me up from school and took me to the pet store to look around. We like to do that because we get to see cats, birds, snakes, fish, guinea pigs, and sometimes dogs when their owners bring them into the store. It’s like a mini zoo AND it’s free. Anyway, I’m sitting there in the basket looking at the green and blue birds and calling out their color and then in Spanish….showing off a litttle for this little girly standing near….then all of a sudden my daddy asks me if I want some fish. I was like, “yeah, I want some fish… yeah, I want some fish….fish…” At this point, I kind of blew my whole cool roll with the little girly, but who cares b/c I was getting fish. Anyway, I got a black one named Spike and an orange and white one named Spot. They are pretty cool, but Spike seems to be a little under the weather lately. My mommy and daddy says that when fish get sick they rest by floating on their back. I know what you’re thinking, they are silly, right? But you know what? I’m not a fish, so maybe it does make them feel better. Spike did seem to feel better at times b/c we would swim for little bit and then stop and float on his back. Anyway, I hope Spike feels better soon b/c I want to play with them….however I would play with fish anyway. P-Out!

At the movies

Today is Good Friday and my mommy and daddy said I could play hookie from school so we could go to the movies. Thought it was kind of cool to go to a big time movie. Mommy and daddy took me to see Monsters vs Aliens. They bought me popcorn, coke, pickles, and hot dogs. I was living it up. I got a little restless early in the movie, but I did finally sit with daddy and then hopped over to mommy to watch the movie. For those of you that don’t know about the movie, the earth is attacked by a mean alien and the only hope for survival lies with the 5 “monsters” that have been locked up by the government. My favorite monster was B.O.B and Reese Witherspoon gives a very convining performance. I don’t want to give away the ending, but let me just say I didn’t see it coming. Overall, I give it 2 thumbs up! I’ll see you at the movies.

Arboretum

I started off my day looking pretty cool with what I was wearing (pictures will be posted later). Grannie then picked me up and took me to my favorite donut shop. I like this particular donut place because it has a train that runs around the place high on the wall. We then went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was pretty cool. I tell you something, I am not sure if it gets any better than starting a day off with donuts and then a day dedicated to taking pictures of me.

I then got to see Pat and mamma Pat when I went to check out Pat’s aquarium. Grannie keeps trying to get my mommy and daddy to get me an aquarium, but not sure they are going for that one. They keep saying they have one for me at Pat’s so I guess that is pretty close to a no. I bet Grannie keeps at it though for me. I think it wold be cool, but I am not going to get stuck cleaning it.

Ear Infection

Well, I went to the doctor the other day and I found out I have an ear infection. This stinks, but it did get me out of school for two days. I am back at school today, but not many kids here since it is Spring Break. Jaxson is here though and I like him. Grace, or Gracie as Iike to call her, is also here so I got my main peeps here. They also moved me from my regular room to another room. Don’t they know they need to clear these things with me ahead of time so I can prepare. I do not like change.

Oh well, not much going on other than my Aunt Tami has a birthday today. So shout out to her on that one.
BTW does anyone else think this is a little Doogie Howser-ish?

Daycare

For those who don’t know, I started daycare a few weeks ago. It was hard on me b/c I am use to being with my mommy or daddy and making my own schedule. At this place, I have to follow a schedule they make up. It’s not all bad….they let me paint and there are some pretty cool kids. This one girl named Grace is cute. I call her Gracie. There is also Alejandro and Jaxson who are my buds. Ms. Susan is my favorite teacher. I go every day.

Party

I went to one of my friend’s birthday party. He had it at a bounce house place. It was pretty cool. You know me, I waited a little while before I really let go and had fun, but I did eventually. We ate pizza and cupcakes. We then played video games. I won enough tickets to get a pair of dice. It was fun…I would do it again.
