P-A-R-K-E-R spells…..

…..PARKER. That’s what I WROTE tonight. Daddy and mommy were so impressed. I told them I was going to write my name and this is what I wrote….sure, I need to work on my “k” and “e” but not bad if you ask me.

Be mine…

I didn’t get around to posting on Valentine’s Day because…..well….I had so many girlies I had to address. I mean, it ain’t easy being big Parker b/c I have all these girls wanting me to be their Valentine and all.

Anyway, in preparation for the big heart day at school, my mommy and daddy had to help me create a box that followed the theme of the day to store all my Valentine Day booty (meant in the same manner as a pirate would mean it – get your mind out of the gutter). I know it’s late, but here is the pic. My daddy and mommy were very proud of our effort and think it was the best in class.

More pics from the cruise

When my folks were not busy reciting lines from Titanic….it doesn’t look any bigger than the Martegna…..I’ll never let go Jack….you jump, I jump…..and spit like a man (in a weird English country boy/girl accent)…., they were hamming it up with me and the fam. Here are some pics. I will post more as I get them.

Frosty watch out…

So I just got back from a cruise. It was a little chilly on the ship at times, but nothing like when I got back home. Now I’ve seen snow before (in addition to fire and rain), but this was a record amount for us. While, this may not be a lot to some of you, this is Texas ya’ll.

Here’s the vid of the undisturbed snow…

This is me checking it out…

This is our snowman…

Call me Ishmael….

I have just returned from my voyage of the seas. You should have seen me….my gaze fixed on the horizon….my face misted with seawater….my temporary tattoo fading in the sun….

I just returned from my cruise with the fam. We didn’t pass the equator so I didn’t get my ear pierced, but I did get a cool temporary tattoo to mark my maiden voyage on the Carnival Ecstasy.

All in all, the trip was smooth. The waters were fairly smooth until the last day when it was rather rocky. My daddy and mommy said they saw people puking – pretty nasty if you ask me. My folks were a little concerned with how I would react to the motion and the ship in general, but I got my sea legs pretty quickly. As a matter of fact, I believe I got them before my mom, dad, or grannie. I was wanting them to run all over with me and they kept sitting down trying to relax.

I’m not sure what I enjoyed more – being on a huge ship in the middle of the Gulf, not going to school, spending so much time with the family, or being able to sleep with mommy and daddy. Whatever it was, I loved it.

We stopped in Progreso, Mexico (Yucatan) the first port. We rode on a double decker bus all over the city. It was pretty neat to get back to my Latino roots. And daddy was right, he is average height for a Mexican. I’m guessing no one in Progreso knew I was Hispanic. They just took me for your everyday gringo.  After the bus tour, mommy, daddy, grannie, and I went to grab something to eat on the beach. This was the first time I had ever been on a huge beach and I can’t begin to tell you how cool it was. I made sand angels – yes there is video, but not sure daddy will let that get out into the public eye.

Our second stop was in Cozumel, Mexico. This was a little nicer. The whole family headed to Paradise Beach and chilled out together. This was a lot of fun because daddy and I played in the sand. We dug tunnels in the sand for my toy 4x4s to drive through. I’m not sure, but I think daddy enjoyed that time together just as much as I did.

Anyway, it was a great time. I will post some pictures later, but here is a video you can watch…..btw “Call me Ishmael” is the first sentence in Moby Dick for those of you that wondered where that came from.

Long time….

Alright, so I have been out of it for a little while. I had an ear infection hit me Friday and was pretty much wiped out all weekend. I am feeling better now (if you don’t believe me, just ask my daddy). Anyway, daddy picked me up this afternoon from school. We went to the store after he picked me up because he said we needed a few things. We must have got the right stuff b/c daddy said that was the best trip to the store ever. It may have been b/c I was such a good boy or b/c I helped him check out. I ran a couple of items that I could hold onto across the scanner when we were doing the self checkout. And then, daddy switched me to the bagger role for some of the bigger items. He would scan and hand the stuff to me and I would put them into the bags he told me to put them in. He said I was a big boy now and could handle a little work. I didn’t mind. It was pretty cool actually. I mean, I’m actually tall enough to put things in the bags.

And one other thing…..just because the box says lasagna or cheddar melt it’s still Hamburger Helper! You’re not fooling anyone, daddy. And for the record, your spaghetti might as well be hamburger helper – it’s meat, sauce, and noodles. I still love it though.

Happy Birthday Shad

Today is my homie Shad’s birthday. He is the big 14. That sure does seem old. That will take me forever to get that old. Happy birthday, Shad!

1,000 and counting

I’m not really sure how much 1,000 is b/c I can’t count that high yet, but it sure does sound like a lot. That is how many hits I have had to my blog. While that may not be a lot to some, my only intention for this blog is touch my family and friends. I hope it has done that and I will continue along the path. Much more to come…..
