So it’s just me and daddy chilling at home tonight making strawberry shortcakes because mommy is working. That obviously makes for a good time together, but I thought I would take the opportunity to make sure my weekend goes like I want it to go – you divide and conquer. So here’s how our conversation went:
Me: Do you know what I want to be when I grow up?
Daddy: A fireman. (That’s what I always tell him.)
Me: Nope.
Daddy: A policeman?
Me: Nope.
Daddy: A pilot?
Me: Nope.
Daddy: I don’t know. What?
Me: A dad (said in my sweetest voice with the sweetest smile on my face).
Daddy: Aaahhhhh!!
Hook line and sinker….divide and conquer….game, set, match….That was all it took for me to ensure I get what I want this weekend. Now, that may have been taking advantage of the warmest spot in daddy’s heart, but you got to make your own luck in this world.
