What’s up cuz!

My cousin Lily just started her own blog. Go check her out. She is a little over 2 months old now so her parents, Erin and Mark, are helping her out. Click on the link to the side or on the pic.

Can you keep a secret?

You guys may know me and my dad as charming, witty, good-looking, smart, etc. Well, this is all true…the end….only kidding. While all the above may be a true story, there is more to our story…..we’re really Iron Man and Bumble Bee….here to protect you. We realize that with great power comes great responsibility. Okay, I know I’ve mixed all kinds of super hero stories, but I’m only 3.5 years old so cut me some slack.

The Toys Are Back In Town…

Daddy, grannie, and I went to go see Toy Story 3 on Sunday. I had heard a lot of high praise for this movie….two thumbs up….99% on the tomatometer. But Ebert and I don’t always see eye to eye on movies so I was a bit skeptical when I went in.

It was a hot day when we set out to go to the movies, but I wasn’t going to let that take away from my anticipation. I was there to see Woody, Buzz, Ham, Rex, Jessie, and see what the new players like Lotso and Big Baby had to offer.

**SPOILER ALERT** While his southern drawl was disarming, his color relaxing, and his scent of strawberries endearing, who would have guessed Lotso would have been such a great choice for a villain??? I mean, that came out of no where. I thought he was really there to welcome everyone to the daycare. WOW!! Can Disney flip a story or what???And then, as if Disney didn’t do enough toying (get it? – I tell you, I have the wit of a 5 yer old) with our emotions, they had to throw in the whole theme of saying goodbye….the toys to their owner Andy, Andy’s mom to Andy as he went to college, and then Andy to his favorite toys. I’m pretty sure I saw my daddy’s eyes get watery. I guess he realized that kids get older real quick and someday I was going to be going to college and setting out in the world to make my own mark on the world. Maybe I should spare him and mommy that pain and just stay at home all my life let them support me….get back to you on that one.

Anyway, all I can say is that this was the finest ensemble cast since Toy Story 2. With the theme of goodbye, I don’t see how they can make another movie, but Sean Connery has taught us to “never say never” – said in my best Scottish accent.

To infinity and beyond……P-out!

Feelin’ the love…

It’s always nice to feel loved and my peeps at school were making me feel it when I was leaving school for the day. Ashley was also trying to help me find my sticker I dropped.

Fear not homies, I will return on Monday. Adios!

I’m back….

Sorry I’ve been so absent lately. I’ve been trying to find some solution to this whole BP catastrophe in the Gulf. …hey, if Kevin Costner can have an idea, I can too, right? Anyway, a lot has gone in since I last checked in.

My school has rolled into the summer session so there are far less kids in my class than before so that means that a small group of younger kids were ushered into my class. I know some of them from when I our classes overlapped before so it is kind of cool. Not that I will give them any attention or anything, but at least they know that and I don’t have to explain that to them again. Another thing related to school is that in about a month I will be moving up a class. The teacher of that class is the mommy of one of the honeys in my class. I should be treated so well there – can’t  wait.

Another thing that just happened was DADDY’S DAY. This was a great day. My daddy and papa Kolias went on a tour of Cowboys Stadium. It was so cool walking through the dressing room and the tunnel that the actual players walk through. We also played on the field. My daddy and I raced the whole 100 yards for a touchdown. I also tried to touch goal post, but I wasn’t tall enough. So I got on papa’s shoulders sure that I would be able to touch them then….no such luck. I was still like 2 feet away. I am so going to be taller than my daddy and papa Kolias by the time I’m 10 years old. Anyway, we still had a great time. Some of the pics are below.

The little star

Stretch!!!

Never too early to study plays

Another day at school

Okay, here’s my routine….my folks drop me off at school in the morning. I’m a good boy and all, but I act like I’m not going to be friends with anyone or play or anything. After about an hour, when I know my folks aren’t coming back, I usually cut loose and play with the friends I choose for the day. I guess I don’t want my folks to think I enjoy school. I guess a part of me doesn’t want them to get their feelings hurt or anything thinking I may enjoy school more than time with them. That’s why I act like I do – it really comes from a good place. So you can imagine how surprised I was to see the following video leaked on YouTube. It shows me (khaki shorts and green polo shirt) running around, jumping, and having fun.

I’m not sure who leaked this, but I have my eye on all the kids in my class. One of them is trying to ruin my game….I’m watching you.

The Graduate

Nothing to do with Mrs. Robinson here. It is all about my cousin Bubba. He just graduated from college and wants to be a game warden. The question that comes to mind is whether or not the nickname Bubba influenced his life in any way (see below). Remember that I said he graduated from college, right? Well, we all witnessed him trying to catch a snake with a stick at the after party. Now I know I haven’t even entered college yet, but I know better than to try and catch a snake with a stick. His mama seemed real proud of her baby boy……mamas don’t let your babies grow up to go to Texas A&M Commerce….

Anyway, me and the folks spent the day at the Cox Family Farm in Emory, TX to celebrate. This was a pretty cool place. Besides having some cool family members there, this place had blackberries they make into wine. They also have a big tank to fish in, a tractor, and 4-wheelers to play on. I rode on the tractor with mommy and my great aunt Cindy. And then daddy and I rode the 4-wheeler. It felt like we were going fast, but we really weren’t because daddy said we needed to be safe. While daddy and I were riding around, we went potty man style – on a tree….daddy said that was our tree from now on. Not sure I really want to do anything with that tree now, but whatever you say dad. Overall, it was a great time and I can’t wait to go back. Cindy said I could go back when it was time to pick berries. I guess she knows I have some migrant worker in my blood.

BTW shout out to my cousin Chrissy and her husband Michael because they are expecting their first child.

Oh, and this was BEFORE the tequila made an appearance….

Let’s do lunch

Typically my school makes me lunch, but today we were having a picnic so I had to bring a sack lunch. This is the first  time I’ve ever had to bring a lunch so the pressure was on my folks to make me something nutritious, but not boring. Daddy was the one that took me to school this morning so he was the one who had to prepare the lunch. I told him I wanted a peanut butter & jelly sandwich without the peanut butter because the teacher said we couldn’t have peanut butter. Some people are allergic to peanuts so the school didn’t want to take a chance of us sharing food. They obviously don’t know that PARKER DOESN’T SHARE FOOD!

Anyway, besides the jelly sandwich, I told daddy I wanted a hot dog, sun chips, cookies, Spiderman snacks, apples, and grapes. I usually eat a little of this pretty regularly, but the teachers seemed to be tickled that I had so much food. Yeah, it may have been odd, but my folks didn’t want me to not have enough to eat.
