500+

Wow! I have had over 500 hits on my blog. Probably not a lot for some, but sure is a lot for a 3-year old. I guess my grannie was pretty busy viewing my blog – she probably should get back to work. Thank you to all and there will be a lot more from me b/c I have a lot to share.

David Hood update….

Post from David’s website…..”We had our much anticipated appointment today with Dr. Riela, and it went well. First, David had to do an EEG this morning before our appointment. He cooperated, and it was fairly uneventful. They connected about 20 sensors to his head, and observed him for about an hour……” http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/babyhood

David Matthew Hood

Most of you probably don’t know who this is, but hopefully you will take the time to learn. A friend of a friend had a little boy named David on March 18, 2009 (5 months ago). Unfortunately, David was diagnosed with a heart condition that would require multiple surgeries – open heart, etc. He was very touch and go for quite a while early, but fought through it with all his little might and seemed to be doing better for a while. Then, his mommy and daddy got somel.mktgnzaBfWYjtbSk news that took their breath away again. They went in for what they thought would be a routine consultation with a different doctor (the one who had worked on the Egyptian conjoined twins some time ago). He was not as optimistic about David’s development as the first doctor which was totally unexpected.

I’m not telling you guys about this to make you sad, but rather appreciative of what we have even when we want more because there are a lot of people that would be thrilled to be in our shoes. I also wanted to draw some attention to the strength and faith of David’s mommy and daddy. They have other children to be strong for and also explain what is going on with their baby brother – not an enviable position. They have remained optimistic about their child’s future, steadfast and united in their faith, and endless in their love for their little boy. My daddy says that he has to hug me whenever he thinks about David because he could not imagine seeing me go through anything like this. He also says he admires the strength of David’s mommy and daddy because this isn’t anything you can plan for or even want to imagine, but daddy tells me something Grannie told him, “the Will of God does not take you where the Grace of God can not protect you.”

Check out the link below (and on the sidebar) to read more about David Matthew Hood’s story. Please say a little prayer for David and hug me next time you see me.

Come together, right now, over me…

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that came over for my birthday get together Saturday. I always enjoy seeing you guys and really felt the love. And, of course, thanks for the presents. I think daddy and mommy have finally finished putting everything together. I think they secretly enjoy all the pieces – the more the merrier I think. Boxes are everywhere still.

If anyone has any pictures or video from the get together, please share them with me and email them to me at prkolias@gmail.com or send them on CD to me.

Anyway, thanks again to you all – Grannie, Papa Dupree, Grandma Dupree, Nanny, Iris, Uncle David, Uncle Brent, Dylan, Amanda, Sylvia, Jeff, Julia, Christie, Anthony, Patricia, Aunt Tammy, James, mommy, daddy, and anyone else I may have forgotten.

Birthdays just keep on coming…

Today there were two more birthdays to make not of…..Alyssa Zavala turned the big 1. Her brother is my homie, Jandro. Also celebrating a birthday is Grandma Linda. She turns the big ?????? I wouldn’t do that to you Grandma Linda. You both should head to the Waffle House for your birthday meal – tell ’em Parker sent you.

You say it’s your birthday….

….it’s my birthday, too….happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me…..go ahead shorty, it’s my birthday, we gonna party like it’s  my birthday….

That’s right, I am 3 years old today! I have already learned about a birthday week b/c I did not go to school yesterday and I’m not going today and I won’t be going for the rest of the week. Birthdays rock. I am also throwing a party Saturday at my folks house around 5p so feel free to drop by. Just let one of us know by sending an email to one of the below emails. Not sure all I am doing today, but I will post later to let you know.

Happy birthday also to Jason Eskew. He was born on the same day as me many years before.

Birthday boy out!

P-crew

Just wanted to give you guys a quick shot of what my school room looks like and my crew I roll with.We are at the bottom right – Adi, Jazmine, and me. Jandro was playing hooky that day. We like to hang out in our circle. Everyone knows that is our turf.

I should be moving rooms at the end of the month. I hear I am moving 2 or 3 classes up because I am potty trained, but not sure yet. I don’t want to really leave my homies, but I don’t think they are all 100% potty trained. I have been doing good with the training. I did have one accident yesterday, but that was because we were outside. I guess I could have done like daddy does in the backyard – don’t tell him I told you that.
