Hazy Shade of Winter

Take your pick between Simon & Garfunkel or the Bangles (preference of my parents since they are children of the 80s which is like 100 years ago or something), but here in TX we typically get more ice than snow in the winter. Last weekend, it was time for that hazy shade of winter to come whisking in and it shut the city down. I’m not complaining because I got to miss two days of school and go in late another day – woot woot! So what do you do when the city is frozen and you’re at home with favorite people in the world? You bug them without rest about going outside to play on ICE! Sooner or they give in and grab the closest piece of cardboard and kick it old school – check us out.

Now, let’s kick it up a notch – Jackass is a just a short hop from here…

Now break it down like James Brown…hey….

Update from Snow Week 2011

So once the sun came up on Day 4, it wasn’t so bad. Mommy, daddy, and I wrapped up good and headed outside to play in the snow. It was cold, but I don’t think any of us wanted to come back inside because we had so much fun getting out of the house. We must have played for 1.5 hours. Anyway it was great to get out. Here are some of vids from the day. I think my favorite is where daddy repeats mommy’s line of the day….”That’s a good ass angel.”

Day 4

Parksway Captain’s log….day 4….1300 hours….food supply is diminishing….must stay strong since I am the smallest and the other ones may see me as easy prey if we run out of food and need to start eating each other…..maybe I could sweet talk mommy into turning on daddy first….

So everyone here is going a little stir crazy. The past few days have been tough because we couldn’t get out to play because of the ice, but today there is snow and I’m looking forward to getting out for a little while. I think it will be good for us all….keep you posted.

Day 4....what more???
