Just wanted to show you guys a quick pic of what a star student looks like. Now, I’m not claiming to be Doogie Howser or anything, but I must admit I can write my letters like a 5 year old. And while you may say I’m 4 years old and 5 isn’t that far away, consider that 5 is 25% more than 4 – you have to at least be impressed by my math skills. Even if you’re not impressed, I think a big ‘ol “AWESOME” from my teacher speaks for itself….no brag just fact.

So you guys always see all these pictures of me on my blog. I’m usually pretty laid back when it comes to photos, although at times I can get to the point where enough is enough and I go a bit crazy – not Sean Penn attacking a photographer crazy, but pretty grouchy. Formal picture taking is a whole different story. I am not such a big fan as you will see…

When I was 1 – I cried.

When I was 2 – I not only cried with Santa, but was trying to grab onto anything that would get me out of there – in the middle of the busy mall.

When I was 3 – I didn’t cry, but I sure wasn’t happy and I sure wasn’t going to cooperate and smile.

Ok - I'll take the hat off, BUT I AIN'T SMILING

So now I’m 4 and picture day was the other day at school. You’d think they would learn (insanity = doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result). Well the result was a little different – I didn’t cry. As a matter of fact, I didn’t do anything – that includes take the picture.

I’m starting to come into my own and realize that I have choices. I may not always know the consequences of my choices, but I think I pretty much have it figured out – I can flat out refuse to do something and in all reality, there isn’t anything anyone can do that I won’t get over. Put me in time out – I may not like it – I may cry a little bit, but sooner or later I will forget about it and so will you and we’ll be all about playing again. My folks have chosen not to beat me and the school sure can’t lay a hand on me, so I don’t risk physical harm by making a stand and not doing something. I feel as if I have discovered my super hero power or something. Should I use this power for good or for evil (said in my best Dr. Evil voice).

A much better Friday…

So this Friday already has a leg up on last Friday because none of my favorite teachers left and nobody was trying to inject me with some mysterious liquid they claim is going to make me feel better. This one was just what it was….Friday….Viernes….the end of the week….the beginning on the weekend.

This is just a clip of me hanging with my homies, Caden and Greyson, in class. We were being silly and looking under the table, making silly faces, etc. Then you see me running to daddy when he walks in. I do this every time him or mommy pick me up. They think it is so sweet that I am so happy to see them. They tell me that I can take away all their stresses of the day by being so happy and loving toward them. Daddy always tells me a story about when we lived in GA. I wasn’t talking or walking yet, but he came home from a hard day at work and I ran over in my walker making all kinds of loud noises to let daddy know I missed him. He says that every day since then, he can’t wait to come home and see me because I still do that same thing – minus the walker and all – I run to him every day and shout “daddy” as he comes in.

Now, I know he loves this and all, but am I suppose to still do that when I’m 16???

So I knew this Friday was going to be different from most of the others because one of my favorite teachers was leaving our school – Ms. Stephanie. She is going to be a hair stylist so I wish her all the luck in the world, but I sure am going to miss her. She always gave me what I deserved….special treatment. We would check all the rooms late in the day when all the other kids had to stay in another room. AND before she left she gave me a lot of presents that I totally dig. It is all art stuff and her and I always bonded over art. Anyway, it kind of bums me out, but who knows maybe she can do my hair when I decide not to wear a hat anymore.

So that was one thing, but then I had to leave school early because daddy was taking me to the doctor for my 4-year-old check up. I was told the doctor just needed to see how I was growing, count my toes, check my weight, etc. Well, there was little more to it than I was led to believe. I get there and they prick my finger to take some blood which wasn’t a big deal, but my folks still neglected to mention that. Then the doctor checks me out and says I’m perfect – 40.5″ tall, 32.5 lbs, blood pressure 82/48 – it all checked out and he was done. I thought we were out of there and then daddy leans over and gives me a hug and tells me that before we leave I was going to get a “few” shots…..suddenly…..time stood still…..my body started floating…..articulate arguments against immunization shots were spewing out that Jenny McCarthy would be proud of…..then, I realized that only about half a second had past and all that came out of my mouth was a big gasp.

How many shots???

So two demons disguised as nurses come in and tell me they are going to give me 4 shots in my legs (2 on each leg and they would do them 2 at a time). They made me lay down on the table and I was not digging that because it was freaky so I started crying even though daddy was holding my hands. I started to feel them rub my legs and then….stabbing pain from hit me like no other I can remember so I let out a cry like I never had before. It sucked!! Then I hear the head demon say “next one” and I’m like WTH??? Wasn’t the first two good enough?? Did you miss?? Anyway, when they were done making me a human pin cushion, they left the room pretty quickly and daddy and I were out like a fat kid playing dodgeball.

Daddy said he knew that hurt – gee, what gave him that idea – so he said we could go get a toy. When we got to the toy store, I told him my legs hurt too much to walk so I needed to ride in the cart – I figure that was worth another two toys….and I was right.

I think my folks got off easy...

Anyway, I’m good now, but TGIF my a$$.

Spelling bee here I come…

I know my colors and all, but now I’m working on spelling them. Daddy and I stayed after class the other day so I could show him what I can do. I rush through some of them so I mix up some letters, but I’m getting better. The pic below also shows how I spelled blue the other day without any help from anyone. Seems like I’m a triple threat – spell, write, and sing if you watch the videos. (BTW listen to how cute I am when I tell you what is black and when I spell green in the second video.)
